Originally from the Ottawa region, Yves Gauthier a.k.a. YGô has been doing creative art since a young age. Shapes and colors have always allowed him to express himself. Drawing, painting and sometimes sculpture, his artistic methods are for him ways to tell stories and share ideas.
In high school, already he pushes the limits of complexity in school projects and is highly recommended to pursue in this field, by his peers, his teachers and his family. At home, he produces his first canvases which he will all give to his friends. He will do this for many years, always exploring styles, mediums and methods.
With his art studies, he pushes his approach to new limits in various fields of creation but favours drawing and painting. Passionate with world cultures, he loves to travel around the globe, learning and exploring new shades, colours, shapes and ideas.
He confronts this rough reality juggling with many passions and cumulating experiences. Inspired by them, he translates it into his life and creations. With the disparity of mediums, techniques and results in YGô's creativity, we could say that YGô is in a constant exploration of style: his production is considerably eclectic. He has participated to a few exhibitions since 2014, as planner, technician and exhibitor, and a few artistic projects, slowly swiming through his artistic passion always inspired by authenticity and genuinely creating.
